As a social entrepreneur, a mentor and advocate for the voices of children and young people, until recently, I hadn't pledged allegiance to any political party on the grounds that I didn’t trust any of them or believe they would or could actually solve the problems in our society. I rather looked to enterprise as an alternative solution to society's problems.

I joined the Labour Party because of its fundamental value of standing up for the majority in society. This commitment to the interests of the many showed me that Labour is the best and most compassionate political party in the country. I became a social entrepreneur to bring about social change, whilst at the same time improving the economy. The same motivation has drawn me to Labour.

This is the most critical hour in the history of the Labour Party. We are electing a new leader.

Andy Burnham is the outright man for the job. I say this plainly and I will tell you why.

He has the crucial combination of ambition and credibility. His prudence matches his zeal. Andy is Labour’s one true hope of a true and complete leader with integrity. Andy will do exactly what he says he will, and can motivate many young people like myself to help him fulfill his vision for our country.

Most importantly, I appeal to my fellow young peers whom may not see as I do, and have been captivated by big promises which lack credibility. I know that the sound of getting what you desire quickly can be very attractive, but if we don’t get behind the right candidate, we may never realise our hope. Do not choose a shooting star, which falls as quickly as it rises, choose a north star, which stands the test of time. Andy's prioritisation of unity is fundamental, and he has shown that only he can unite the party and command its full support. If we are not one, we are divided, and we will lose - Labour must unite!

If you love your country as much as I do, vote for Andy Burnham not only as the leader of the Labour party, but as the future Prime Minister of this nation.
